ABOUT LEADERSHIP LAKE COUNTY
Leadership Lake County is a private educational non-profit 501(c)(3), established in 1986. We offer highly interactive leadership development programs in community-based settings. Our goal is to develop and engage existing and future leaders in pursuit of civic and economic excellence in Lake County and our surrounding communities.
Our Programs
- Signature Program - executives and senior-level directors
- Community Builders - young professionals ages 23-35 and early managers
- Junior Leadership Program - high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors
- Youth Leadership Academy - 7th and 8th-grade students
Our programs extend over the course of eight to ten months, allowing participants to build social networks, engage in leadership training through action and reflection, and serve our community during the program year through service projects adopted by each class. Our graduates serve on numerous local, state, and national non-profit and public boards as effective directors and trustees. In the workplace, the skills gained during the leadership program translate to improved collaboration and critical thinking, as well as experience in group dynamics and facilitation. Our graduates raise the collective level of personal and civic competence for our community, which leads to a healthier, more vibrant community.
Leadership Lake County programs deliver impassioned new leaders into Lake County each year with the skills and understanding to make positive change.
